“Jojo Rabbit” & “The Harder They Fall” Editor Tom Eagles, ACE, Joins Manhattan Edit Workshop as Their Next Artist in Residence

Manhattan Edit Workshop (MEWShop) , the cutting-edge, online digital-training destination for post-production specialists and content creators is proud to announce the upcoming Artist in Residence for the March 7th class will be Oscar-nominated Editor Tom Eagles, ACE.**   Tom Eagles, ACE, is a film editor hailing from Aotearoa/New Zealand. It was there that he began his collaboration with Taika Waititi, cutting cult comedy "What We Do in the Shadows," "Hunt for the Wilderpeople," and "Jojo Rabbit," for which Eagles was nominated for an Oscar and Bafta, and won an American Cinema Editors’ ‘Eddie’ award. Most recently, his work can be seen in Netflix’s Western hit, "The Harder They Fall." His work with director Roseanne Liang has won awards at Sundance and Toronto film festivals. MEWShop announces that Editor Lee Percy, ACE, will join our March/April 2020 Six Week Intensive.

Lee Percy, ACE  has worked with director Barbet Schroeder from the Academy Award-winning film,  Reversal of Fortune  to Murder by Numbers . Lee also edited the Academy Award-winning Boys Don't Cry , and the critically acclaimed film,  Maria Full of Grace .  He also worked on The Ice Harvest  for director Harold Ramis, Oliver Stone's Snowden , as well as Sundance Film Festival 2009 nominee and Emmy-winning Taking Chance.  Lee's recent work includes the remake of the classic horror film Carrie , Amelia , HBO's Grey Gardens , and Oliver Stone's Snowden. Acclaimed Editor Anne McCabe, joins Our Next Six Week Intensive Starting January 7th!

MEWShop proudly announces that acclaimed editor Anne McCabe, ACE, will join our January/February 2019 Six Week Intensive. Anne McCabe started in the cutting rooms of Woody Allen, Brian de Palma, and Sidney Lumet. She has collaborated with Director Greg Mottola on several projects, including  The Daytrippers ,  Adventureland,  and the award-winning pilot for HBO’s  The Newsroom . She also worked closely with Kenneth Lonergan on the Academy Award-nominated film  You Can Count On Me , and  Margaret . Her television credits include  Nurse Jackie , Damages , Younger , The Purge  and this summer’s HBO’s hit drama  Succession . Navigating both drama and comedy, she cut Chris Rock’s acclaimed movie  Top Five, the recent Golden Globe Nominee Can You Ever Forgive Me? with Melissa McCarthy ,  and is currently editing the untitled Tom Hanks and Matthew Rhys Mr. Rogers movie, also directed by Marielle Heller. "Breaking Bad" Editor Kelley Dixon, ACE Joins Our March 2018 Workshop

MEWShop is proud to welcome editor  Kelley Dixon, ACE  as our Artist in Residence for our March/April 2018 Six Week Intensive Art of Editing Workshop. Kelley Dixon, ACE got her start in post production in multiple capacities in the editing room on the features "Reservoir Dogs" and "Good Will Hunting" as well as TV's "Without a Trace," and "Revelations."    Kelley got her big break after many long years as an assistant when her editor, Lynne Willingham cut the "Breaking Bad" pilot and she became the series' second editor.    She's been nominated for four ACE awards and six Emmys - winning one Emmy in 2013 - for her work on "Breaking Bad." Kelley also edited on HBO's "Luck," Showtime's "Shameless," AMC's "The Walking Dead," "Halt and Catch Fire" and "Preacher."    And she's currently working on the "Breaking Bad" spin-off, "Bett...

MEWShop Welcomes Editor Allyson C. Johnson as Our November 2017 Artist in Residence!

MEWShop is proud to welcome editor  Allyson C. Johnson  as our Artist in Residence for our November/December 2017 Six Week Intensive Art of Editing Workshop. Allyson C. Johnson’s Feature Film work includes: Mira Nair’s “Amelia,” ”The Namesake,” “Vanity Fair” and “Monsoon Wedding” which received the Golden Lion for Best Film at the 2001 Venice Film.  Her television work includes NBC’s “Smash” and “The Slap,’ “The Wire,” “Quantico” and “Marco Polo” for Netflix.  She is currently editing Baz Luhrmann’s series “The Get Down” for Netflix.  Johnson received an Emmy Nomination editing the documentary “The Who’s Tommy: The Amazing Journey.”  Other rockumentaries include “Up From the Underground” (Quincy Jones), "Say It Loud" (VH-1) and her Triptych short film “Kick Out the Jams” appeared at the opening of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Museum.  She has also collaborated with such filmmakers as Spike Lee and Griffin Dunne and Bill Moyers.  For more ...
