MEWShop proudly announces that acclaimed editor Anne McCabe, ACE, will join our January/February 2019 Six Week Intensive. Anne McCabe started in the cutting rooms of Woody Allen, Brian de Palma, and Sidney Lumet. She has collaborated with Director Greg Mottola on several projects, including  The Daytrippers ,  Adventureland,  and the award-winning pilot for HBO’s  The Newsroom . She also worked closely with Kenneth Lonergan on the Academy Award-nominated film  You Can Count On Me , and  Margaret . Her television credits include  Nurse Jackie , Damages , Younger , The Purge  and this summer’s HBO’s hit drama  Succession . Dylan Tichenor, ACE, began working on films as an assistant to Geraldine Peroni (an American film editor) in the 1990’s. When Peroni passed away in 2004, Tichenor stepped to finish her work on Ang Lee’s "Brokeback Mountain." Tichenor was first credited with Paul Thomas Anderson's "Boogie Nights," for which he was nominated for a Satellite Award. Veteran editor Jim Stewart, ACE, has been editing feature films and television for over 30  years.  His breakthrough editing position was on the hit series  Life Goes On .  From there  he was a part of the iconic show  The Wonder Years , serving as both editor and supervising  editor on over 40 episodes.  He was nominated for an Emmy for his work on  Chicago  Hope  for Outstanding Editing in a Series in 1994 for the episode "Leave Of Absence."   For close to a decade, Jim worked on several  Law & Order  series, but did his most  work for that series on  Law & Order: Special Victims Unit .  He has worked on  several animated films including  Valiant, Monsters, INC . and as an additional editor on  T oy Story 2 .  His most recent work includes ABC's  Quantico  and most recently CBS's  Instinct . Carol Littleton's body of work as an editor spans several decades and genres, from the 1970s to the present. She's perhaps best known for her collaborations with Steven Spielberg and Lawrence Kasdan, on films including E.T., The Big Chill, and The Manchurian Candidate , and was nominated for an Academy Award for her work on E.T.  MEWShop's Director of Education Janet Dalton, talked to her about her early career and how studying literature made her a stronger editor.

Susan E. Morse ACE, known as “Sandy,” graduated Yale with a degree in History before going to Film School at NYU. She never graduated film school, though, because she took an internship that turned into a job and she never looked back. Early in her career she was an Assistant Editor, working on "Annie Hall" and Interiors. After assisting on a handful of films, she became Woody Allen’s film editor, across the 22-year height of his filmmaking career. But her career isn’t all Woody. In 1980, Sandy was Associate Editor alongside Thelma Schoonmaker on "Raging Bull," worked on Marc Lawrence’s "Two Week’s Notice," "Music and Lyrics" and "Did You Hear About The Morgans?," and cut episodes of "Louie" and "Billions". The cast of Captain Fantastic In Captain Fantastic , Viggo Mortensen plays a survivalist father raising a brood of six kids off the grid in the forests of the Pacific Northwest, whose life is thrown into disarray after his wife commits suicide. The film, written and directed by veteran character actor Matt Ross ( Silicon Valley, Big Love ) earned major praise at Sundance and Cannes, and for good reason: it's by turns intense, funny, and genuinely moving.
