Director Julius Ramsay on his experiences directing and editing "The Walking Dead." Recorded at "Sight, Sound & Story" on June 10, 2017. Julius Ramsay is an Emmy-nominated editor and director who has worked on some of the most popular shows on television. He began his career as an editor on documentary series, such as VH1's Behind the Music and ESPN's "SportsCentury." He moved on to such blockbuster reality shows as "American Idol," "The Bachelor" and its spin-off "The Bachelorette." In 2006, he began editing episodic dramas, such as "Alias," "Battlestar Galactica" and "FlashForward." From 2010 to 2015, he edited 23 episodes of The "Walking Dead," the highest rated drama in the history of cable television. An Interview with "E.T." editor Carol Littleton, ACE

Carol Littleton's body of work as an editor spans several decades and genres, from the 1970s to the present. She's perhaps best known for her collaborations with Steven Spielberg and Lawrence Kasdan, on films including E.T., The Big Chill, and The Manchurian Candidate , and was nominated for an Academy Award for her work on E.T.  MEWShop's Director of Education Janet Dalton, talked to her about her early career and how studying literature made her a stronger editor.

"Logan" Editor Mike McCusker, ACE joins MEWShop's January Six Week Intensive Program! Class starts January 9th!

MEWShop is proud to welcome Oscar nominated film editor Mike McCusker, ACE  as our Artist in Residence for our Six Week Intensive Art of Editing Workshop that starts January 9, 2017.   Mike's first feature film in the editor’s chair resulted in an Oscar nomination for Best Achievement in Film Editing: Walk the Line .   Walk the Line won the ACE Eddie that year for Best Edited Feature Film – Comedy or Musical.
