From our 2019 Sight, Sound & Story Post Production Summit - Editor Kate Sanford ACE, discusses how she brought out the passion of the Fosse/Verdon cast by intercutting three scenes that were not originally planned to be intercut.   Kate Sanford, ACE, is a feature film and television editor whose most recent project is the upcoming just released miniseries Fosse/Verdon. She recently completed the first two seasons of "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel" and won the ACE award for best-edited comedy. Between seasons she edited "The Deuce" for writer/showrunner David Simon. Their long-running collaboration includes the 6-part miniseries "Show Me A Hero," the pilot for "Treme" (for which she won an ACE award for best-edited drama), and all five seasons of "The Wire" (for which she also won an ACE award for drama). Acclaimed Editor Anne McCabe, joins Our Next Six Week Intensive Starting January 7th!

MEWShop proudly announces that acclaimed editor Anne McCabe, ACE, will join our January/February 2019 Six Week Intensive. Anne McCabe started in the cutting rooms of Woody Allen, Brian de Palma, and Sidney Lumet. She has collaborated with Director Greg Mottola on several projects, including  The Daytrippers ,  Adventureland,  and the award-winning pilot for HBO’s  The Newsroom . She also worked closely with Kenneth Lonergan on the Academy Award-nominated film  You Can Count On Me , and  Margaret . Her television credits include  Nurse Jackie , Damages , Younger , The Purge  and this summer’s HBO’s hit drama  Succession . We sadly just learned of the passing of legendary Editor Anne V. Coates, ACE. We had the pleasure of meeting Anne when she joined us for “Sight, Sound & Story” 2016 with moderator/writer Bobbie O’Steen. Anne was easily one of our most memorable panelists that we have ever had; not only for her extremely long and esteemed career, but because of her outspoken, joyful, and charming personality.
