Walter Murch Lecture - Part 1 of 2 Walter Murch in conversation at the British Academy of Film and Television Arts in 2003. Winner of 3 BAFTA Awards and 3 Oscars for picture editing and sound mixing. His credits include Apocalypse Now, Godfather II and III, American Grafitti, THX-1138, The Talented Mr. Ripley, The English Patient and Cold Mountain. Among the Directors he has worked with are Francis Ford Coppola, George Lucas, Anthony Minghella and Fred Zinnemann. The lecture gives an insight behind the scenes to showcase the work of this master of film and sound editing describing not only the techniques used in his craft, but also the creative inspiration behind in the choices he made in the editing room.
